Wilson was born in 1924. Even at a young age he had a love of flying and signed up for the Air Force as soon as he turned eighteen; experiencing the thrill of flying in a Tiger Moth for the first time.
Despite serving as a pilot during the Second World War, unfortunately due to an error, Wilson didn’t receive his wings until seventy years later, in August 2014!
Wilson’s extraordinary story is a fascinating watch and his legacy film has been shared with his family and friends.
