Overview
Gary is an illustrator and writer from Northumberland. His video story was filmed via an ‘Online interview’ at his home in Blyth.
Throughout his chat with Gavin, he tells how he’s overcome tragedy; suffering a serious road accident in 1977 and the impact that has had on his life. He also shares his love of music and how he has used his creative talents in writing and illustrations.
Gary has been creating funny stories and cartoons for many years. His Fairly Truthful Tales series of books and CDs are often featured on BBC and local radio.
He also presents the 'Geordie Hour' on Radio Tyneside, playing music by local singers & bands, songs written by local people and anything that celebrates the North East.
