Wilson 99 years old - Hero

Today is a very special day for one amazing veteran from the North East. Wilson Taylor, the incredible WW2 pilot we were so lucky to meet and work with four years ago for our film Angel, is 99 years old. He is unbelievably heading towards his 100th birthday, still living independently in his sheltered flat in Jesmond. I feel so honoured to be able to call him my friend and either call or pop in to see him every week. If I don't, he calls to make sure that I am alright! That's Wilson, and it's why those around him in the war years prevailed to give us the freedoms we all still enjoy today.
