Why Honeypot Creative Media?
Well hopefully two of those three words are self-explanatory, reflecting what we have done and made for many years. Now we have been able to come together again as a completely new team, the word honeypot has come out of a combination of ideas.
My partner works with bees, so I had been learning about their fascinating world from her; they are incredible, imagine a whole species in which cooperation and commitment to the mission and to each other is absolute. A bit like humanity at its very best. Honey itself is an incredible thing, liquid gold made to sustain the hive, but which if we sustain the bees through the tough winter months by feeding them ourselves; they can also afford to share with us.
Then for us it’s all about the magic of making creative honey through collaboration with our fellow team members and with our clients. We love emotive and real projects the most, because we honestly do care about each other like family and commit 100% to always exceed our clients expectations, working as hard and as long as that takes. Then there is the honeypot itself, a design often made as a representation of the old wicker skeps that beekeepers used for hundreds if not thousands of years before the much more practical square hives we would all recognise now, came into use.
We like the physicality of it and so worked to build the idea onto our trademarked logo. Although creative content is digital, it still comes to life in real places, be that on location, filming at our studio in the Haylofts in central Newcastle, or from our individual home working spaces (as we are continuing to work with a hybrid system).
We really do love working with our many clients and will continue to work as hard and as creatively as we can on every single commission.
