The Geordie Hour Comes to an End

Our Head of Post Production, Karis, has been Producer of the award-winning Geordie Hour on Radio Tyneside, alongside her husband and Presenter, Gary.

Sadly they have made the difficult decision to bring the show to a close due to Gary’s health issues.

The Geordie Hour has been their main focus for over 13 years, but with additional shows such as Born at the Right Time, An Hour with Good Folk, Happy Time Jazz, and Rare Old Times, they have produced over 850 shows for Radio Tyneside. They have also produced award-winning drama and documentary programmes.

Over the years their shows have raised thousands of pounds for Hospital Radio, both from live fundraiser concerts and sponsorship, thanks to David and everyone at Robinson’s florists and Leo at Neutronics UK.

The last Geordie Hour was aired on Sunday 29th September. It is available now via the 'listen again' function on the Radio Tyneside website with lots of previous shows.
